We are proud to announce the release of FRANK’s first official project. Our look at Build LLC is part of an ongoing series of mini-documentaries that will follow interesting people who are doing interesting things. It’s a concept we were extremely excited to have sponsored by Parallels software.

Build is a modern architecture firm in Seattle that we’ve been interested in for a while. Not only do they do beautiful modern-yet-warm work, design and build custom furniture and cabinets, answer any and all architecture and build related questions via their blog, do an extraordinary amount of Pro bono work, and curate our favorite guide to modern architecture, design, art, food and culture, BUT they also happen to be just genuinely lovely and gracious guys. When they asked to meet us at Frank’s for drinks and to discuss the details of the project we knew we’d chosen the perfect guys to start with.

Being our first project we definitely learned some lessons along the way (especially in constraint, as we had over 9 hours in footage) but we are extremely happy with our final product. We hope you enjoy it too.

Stay tuned for our next in the series, a look at a brilliant and captivating emerging fashion designer. Oh, and take a peek at what a day of filming looks like.

It’s getting easier and easier to find a well-made cocktail and a decent glass of wine around the country. To help navigate the liquid landscape, we asked the drink experts to tell us their favorite imbibing spots around the US.
Here are 50 cocktail and wine bars to visit around the country… all recommended by bartenders and sommeliers.

I met Angelo during one of the many fashion weeks and what struck me about him was his quiet cool. He’s not a chap that seems to walk into the line of photographers instead he goes about his business and seems to carry himself the same whether the lens is on him or not. Meet Angelo…

Not on the mouth, I tell him. I don’t know where your feet have been.

I thought we agreed, dip then lip, Fly says.

My research of foot-and-mouth disease says we need a dip of two parts bleach to water.

But Harold’s gone green and thrown out all our cleaning supplies, I explain.

Heidi Moore joined Twitter on November 27, 2008, which means she has a couple of days to go before her third anniversary. But she’s already reached a different milestone: about an hour ago, she posted her 50,000th tweet. (A link to a slideshow of otters, if you must know.)

That’s 50,000 tweets in 1,093 days. Which works out to more than 45 tweets a day, 365 days per year, for three years. Um, congratulations?

No, but seriously, it’s a barn-burner.
